Gabby

Gabby's passion for helping animals started off as early as 5 years old; after graduating Penn Foster Veterinary Assistant program, she dove into shelter medicine for 5 years before becoming a tech at Affordable Vet Care. With her fascination for exotic breeds, Gabby is a proud owner of both a Sphynx and a Oriental shorthair, Nigel and Norman. When she's not at work, she enjoys volunteering at local animal shelters and spending time with her fiance and two sons.

Eldon Lux

Melanie

Melanie started in the veterinary field in 1996. Her love and caring for animals in need began in her childhood. If a critter was hurt or needed to find a home, she would find the help they needed. She was destined to work with animals, her passion and ability to help our furry friends is fulfilling and rewarding. When she is not caring for our furry friends she enjoys gardening, crafting, and spending quality time with her 2 dogs, her children, and grandchildren.

Rachel

Rachel is originally from Florida and has been working in the veterinary field for over 10 years. She has two cats at home, Jazz and Luna. When Rachel is not at work she enjoys reading, collecting house plants, and spending time with her husband and two children.

Mariah

Mariah went to Eastern Florida State College to obtain her CVT certification in 2020. She has always had a love for animals and learning new things. Becoming a CVT allows her to have an array of knowledge and continue learning while caring for our furry friends. She has been in the veterinary field since 2018 and likes to assist in surgery and provide excellent fear-free restraint to pets using snacks and treats! When Mariah is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son as well as crocheting.

Katelyn

Katelyn was born and raised in Long Island, New York and has lived in Florida for about 2 years. She has always had a passion for animals since she was a child. She is new to our practice joining our team May of 2024, but has been in the field for 2 1/2 years. She has two dogs, tux and Mia who occupy most of her time while she is out of the office. Katelyn loves to travel, lounge at the beach and cook cuisines of all kinds in her free time.
Fun Fact: Katelyn enjoys using Snapple Facts in her everyday conversations. For example, animals that don't lay eggs have belly buttons!! Did you know that the Statue of Liberty wears size 879 sandal!?!

Ashley

With a strong work ethic and a love for problem solving, Ashley jumped into the veterinary industry 2 years ago after completing her AA at Eastern Florida State College. Possibly classified as a crazy dog mom, she absolutely adores her 3 year old Labrador mix, Bubba. Striving to provide the best care possible for her boy, Ashley has enthusiastically gained knowledge throughout her time here at Affordable Vet Care. When she is not in the clinic, Ashley enjoys working out at the gym with her boyfriend, caring for her many houseplants, and relaxing at the beach with Bubba.
